Join us for the launch of the official discussion guide for #WeKeepUsSafe by Zach Norris.
WE KEEP US SAFE, the book by Ella Baker Center Executive Director Zach Norris, is full of answers to this question, including concrete solutions that are already working to keep us safe. To truly liberate all people, we have to transform our communities, moving from policies based on fear to communities built on care.
For ideas and inspiration, join a discussion Friday, September 18, 4:30-5:30 pm PST/6:30-7:30 pm CST between Zach and other local activists who are taking the next steps to create safe communities. The conversation will take us through a guide to use the book as a tool to move from ideas to action.
Panelists will include Richard Wallace, Founder/Director of Equity and Transformation Chicago, and Malia Vella, City Councilmember in Alameda, California.
