Teresa (she/her) is an accomplished indigenous executive leader and social impact strategist with over two decades of experience in nonprofit management, community development, movement building, and organizational transformation. Teresa serves as Principal Executive at Design Impact, a co-design nonprofit consultancy firm that facilitates organizational and systems change with nonprofits and grant-makers nationwide, and is a senior leader with the national and California-based LIVE FREE Network, dedicated to ending gun violence and the mass incarceration and criminalization of our communities. Her commitment to reducing violence and inequity has contributed to reductions in violence and incarceration across multiple jurisdictions, including several California cities and counties, as well as communities in the Midwest and her hometown of New Mexico. Through data-driven, community-centered solutions, she has helped create sustainable frameworks for healing, equity, and justice.
