Our Deep Gratitude

All of us at the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights are deeply humbled and grateful by the outpouring of support from our community in response to the theft of our video equipment. From each of you that made a contribution-- big or small, to our partners and allies who helped spread the word, to the Linden Street Brewery who held a fundraiser on our behalf, you helped us reach our goal.
Because of you, we have been able to replace the equipment that was stolen and our staff and youth will resume production on their anti-violence video tomorrow. Now, more than ever before, we are so excited to share the final product with our community so you can see what you helped create. Stay tuned for theyouth's final video and report on the causes and solutions for community violence in Oakland.
As we  shared with you earlier, this incident has only strengthened the youth's resolve to continue to develop their leadership skills and continue to be positive forces of change in the fight against violence in our communities. If you would still like to make a contribution in honor of young leaders' resilience and commitment to social justice, please do so here.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
The Ella Baker Center team
