Free Medical/Dental Services Coming to California

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 7 million people in California have no health coverage. Perhaps, you are one of them. What if I told you about an event where you could get free dental cleanings, fillings, and extractions? Or maybe a free vision exam and free prescription glasses made on-site? What about a free physical or chest X-ray? Given the sad state of health care in our county, you might not believe that such an event could exist for free but it does. Brought to you by The Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps. Until now, I had never heard of The Remote Area Medical (RAM) Volunteer Corps and I feel bad about it. This group is incredible, like really incredible, and get this- they are bringing their services to both Sacramento and Oakland in April. The Remote Area Medical (RAM) Volunteer Corps is a non-profit, volunteer, airborne relief corps dedicated to serving mankind by providing free health care, dental care, eye care, veterinary services, and technical and educational assistance to people in remote areas of the United States and the world. Here is a little helpful background: This kick ass all volunteer group was Founded in 1985, Volunteer doctors, nurses, pilots, veterinarians and support workers participate in expeditions (at their own expense). Medical supplies, medicines, facilities and vehicles are all donated. Please take a second to read up on this group and then tell a few people about their upcoming Northern California visits so that the resources provided can be taken advantage by those who most need it.
