Last year, my family and I made a huge decision. We decided to pack up and move from the suburbs of Concord, CA to a newly foreclosed property that my brother purchased in West Oakland, CA.  This house is located on Martin Luther King Jr Way in the 20’s which is also called Ghost-town.

Today, in 1845, our country’s very first co-op store opened in Boston, MA. Co-ops are member-owned, member-governed businesses that operated for the benefit of their members. In co-ops, members pool resources to bring about economic results that are unobtainable by one person alone.
