Edible Roof Top Garden Service Project
Earlier this month, we teamed up with Oakland Food Connection for a day of service at E.C. Reems Academy in East Oakland. Together we worked on an edible roof top garden that serves as a living classroom for students learning how to prepare simple, healthy meals from the food they grow onsite.

Congratulations to Urban Releaf, this years Throw Down for the Town photo winner! They were able to plant 25 trees in North Oakland on August 13th, 2011 thanks, in part, to dozens of girl scout volunteers from Troop 30017. Their winning photo includes one super fabulous girl scout Throwing Down for the Oak-town.
