In his role as Technology and Administrative Specialist, Eric brings a wealth of expertise in database management and is helping grow Ella Baker Center's technology infrastructure. Prior to joining Ella Baker Center, Eric was an office administrator at UCLA's Graduate Division - Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Admissions. As an undergraduate student at UCLA, Eric found his passion for helping end mass incarceration while doing research that focused on the effects of incarceration on employment outcomes. He earned his B.A. in Sociology with departmental and Latin honors. While at UCLA, Eric was very involved in Black transfer student retention and social psychological and public health research.
Eric's interest in Ella Baker Center's mission is piqued by his own family's experiences with incarceration. His personal experiences and research ultimately led him to the work he does today.
In his spare time, Eric enjoys spending time with his nieces and nephews, cooking, and exploring the Bay Area.
